You can join us this season for these meaningful holy week traditions.
Palm Sunday
March 24
Join us at the Meetinghouse to wave palm branches and remember the story of Jesus' fateful last arrival in Jerusalem.
- Breakfast: 9 am
- High Church Service: 10 am
Egg Dyeing
Sat., March 30
10am to noon at the Meetinghouse. Egg dyeing is not a Christian tradition, but it's just fun to do together. On Holy Saturday it is tradition to fast from food together while Jesus is in the grave.
Maundy Thursday
March 28
6 pm at the Meetinghouse,
this is a service of prayer and footwashing. In this tradition, we serve others by washing their feet just like Jesus washed his disciples' feet.
Easter Sunrise
Sun, March 31
6:45 am at The Ring (Bristol Waterfront Park). In this tradition we watch the sun rise and celebrate that Jesus is risen indeed. This service is led by several Bristol churches together each year.
Good Friday
March 29
7 pm at the Meetinghouse, this is a tenebrae service, so we start in candlelight and end in darkness. In this tradition, we remember Jesus going to the cross and the grave.
Easter Brunch
Sun., March 31
8 am - 10am at the home of Gary and Susan Alloway. Enjoy a potluck feast and much rejoicing after the sunrise service. An egg hunt will be held for all young children.
